The last complete translation of these homilies was Benjamin Thorpe&#8217;s in 1844 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gutenberg.org\/cache\/epub\/38334\/pg38334-images.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">first series<\/a>;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/details\/HomiliesOfTheAngloSaxonChurchV2\/mode\/2up\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">second series<\/a>), and the language throughout is often contorted. Other Old English scholars have translated parts or all of certain homilies (notably Eleanor Parker&#8217;s blog&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/aclerkofoxford.blogspot.com\/search\/label\/Aelfric\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">A Clerk of Oxford<\/a>), but the full collection is not available in a modern translation.
